State Policy Priorities
Iowa's Policy Priorities
As the only organization in Iowa that exists specifically to promote good planning for the betterment of all Iowans, the American Planning Association Iowa Chapter (APA Iowa) believes that it is essential to clearly outline our professional position on key priority issues facing Iowa. This Policy Platform is intended to guide the Chapter’s advocacy efforts and inform positions taken by the Chapter on legislative issues. It is also meant to provide flexibility to address unanticipated issues that inevitably arise.

Annual Legislative Agenda
APA Iowa annually develops a state legislative agenda. The agenda is not an exhaustive list of critical planning policies important to the chapter, but rather reflects items anticipated to be considered during the session.
