Stay Informed Legislative Updates
During the state legislative session, APA Iowa will periodically provide updates on pending legislation to its members.
APA Iowa works to provide its membership with news about planning-related policy and legislation at both the state and federal level, and also to influence policy and legislation whenever possible. Each year the chapter adopts a state legislative agenda and weighs in on planning-related legislation. APA Iowa also works with APA's Policy and Advocacy team to stay informed on legislative efforts at the national level.
State Legislative Agenda
APA Iowa annually develops a state legislative agenda. The agenda is not an exhaustive list of critical planning policies important to the chapter, but rather reflects items anticipated to be considered during the session.
