The Sustainability and Public Health Coordinators lead and support the implementation of sustainability and public health initiatives within MnDOT’s Office of Sustainability and Public Health (OSPH) at the district level. This position advises agency leadership and staff on improving or developing business processes to advance climate action, equity, public health, and transportation-related outcomes. The coordinator will plan, manage, and sustain agency-wide priorities that reflect innovative practices and new legislative mandates. Reporting to the Integration Unit Supervisor, the coordinator will collaborate with district staff to translate state and federal directives into local operations and project delivery. Key responsibilities include providing technical expertise, guidance, and tools; facilitating implementation efforts; delivering training and support; and acting as a lead resource for integrating sustainability and public health into district planning, project development, and operations.
Travel throughout Minnesota,1-3 times a month, including occasional overnight stays, is required. Please note: This posting is being used to fill three (3) vacancies.

Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of advanced professional planning experience that demonstrates:
- Experience working in transportation, public health, or urban studies.
- Experience facilitating processes with staff, the public or stakeholders.
- Experience making presentations to staff, the public or stakeholders.
NOTE: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, or Political Science substitutes for six months of advanced professional experience
