Tyler Whittaker
Tyler Whittaker is the APA Iowa student representative for Iowa State University. Tyler is a sophomore studying Community and regional planning at Iowa State. He is from Chillicothe, Illinois, a small town nestled on the Illinois River. He has been interested in this line of work since 8th grade when he realized communities need careful planning to function. He has been heavily involved around Ames from being the president of a dorm hall, to a logistic director for Winterfest and becoming a Cyclone Aide. Tyler is a strong advocate for building a strong sense of community wherever he goes. As of sophomore year, he is an intern at Community Visioning assisting in improving communities all across Iowa.
