Emily Rizvić

Emily Rizvić is an alumna from Iowa State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Community & Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During her time with the University, she had the opportunity to intern with Story County and the City of Indianola.

After graduation, Emily gained planning experience in local government with the City of Indianola. During her time with the City, Emily focused on downtown revitalization and investment through several key projects, including the development of downtown design guidelines; the implementation of a façade and interior improvement program; obtaining federal funding through the CDBG Downtown Revitalization program sparking a $1.3 million investment; and securing a designation to the Main Street Iowa Program.

Today, Emily joins Confluence as a Project Planner in the Des Moines office, providing expertise in long-range planning, GIS, and zoning policy.
