City of Altoona, Planning Study RFP
The City of Altoona is seeking proposals from consultants to assist in a multi-faceted planning study composing of three specific study components including (A) a Placemaking/Entryway and Streetscape Study along the 1st Ave corridor, (B) a Comprehensive Plan update for the Olde Town Area and (C) a Neighborhood Commercial Nodes Master Plan/Overlay District. The City of Altoona seeks to take a comprehensive view for each sub-component and address with an effective overlapping approach tying the community engagement efforts and scope of services together to streamline results and efficiency utilizing one consultant. The ultimate goal for the City is to team with a qualified firm who can manage these inter-related projects in a comprehensive and holistic approach. The city is seeking services to develop a scope, budget and schedule to address these planning areas.
The overall RFP includes the following sub-components:
- Placemaking/Wayfinding, Entryway, Streetscape Study (1st Ave corridor focus)
- Olde Town Area Comprehensive Plan Update
- Neighborhood Commercial Nodes Plan
