Under the administrative direction of the Assistant City Manager / Community Development Director, performs a wide variety of professional, administrative, and supervisory tasks. Serves as division manager in the community development department for planning, building and code compliance. Leads, performs, organizes, and implements urban planning and community development activities, programs, and tasks. Provides leadership in the general administration of development regulations and serves as staff for City Boards and Commissions. Exercises independent judgment and possesses knowledge and experience in urban planning, building, code enforcement, and storm water management. Attends meetings with other City departments, Boards, Commissions, and City Council, and other groups as necessary. In the absence of the Assistant City Manager / Community Development Director, serves in the role of Community Development Director.
